Fall color continues to slowly progress in the
region. In the higher elevations in northeastern West Virginia
and extreme western Maryland, the first reports of high color
(61% - 80% change) have arrived. In that area, the foliage
season is a bit ahead of schedule.
Here are some of the places to visit now for
great foliage displays.
West Virginia - Much of Tucker County including Thomas, WV
(along U.S. Route 219).
Maryland - The exteme southwest corner of the
western panhandle. U.S. Route 219.
Leaf drop is mostly very low.
