Foliage Report #11

October 9, 2002

The Southeast is still waiting for the fall colors to arrive in earnest. Some areas are reporting moderate color, giving a preview of what is yet to come. They include some of the mountainous areas in West Virgninia and Maryland. All other locations are reporting very low (1 to 10 percent) and low (11 to 30 percent) color change.

Leaf drop in most of the region is low with some areas continuing to show very low leaf drop.

This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network.
