Foliage Report #4

September 15, 2001
As September progresses, so to does the onset of foliage color change. More than half of the region is now reporting some degree of color. Coastal areas of the region and western West Virginia have yet to show any change. Soon, the elevated regions of the Appalachian Mountains should begin to shine with bright and brilliant foliage.

Leaf drop remains very low to non-existant at this early stage of the foliage season.

This information was provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next report will be released Wednesday, September 19, 2001.
