Foliage Report #21

November 14, 2001
Most of the region has now past peak foliage conditions. Southern Delaware, southeast Maryland, and eastern Virginia are the exception, experiencing peak color. So, if you plan on doing any last minute leaf peeping, head to the coast. The coming week should bring the 2001 season to a close.

Leaf drop throughout the region ranges from high to complete. West Virginia, western Virginia, and western Maryland have complete leaf drop. The eastern half of the region has high to nearly complete leaf drop.

This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next, and final report for the 2001 season will be released Saturday, November 17, 2001.
